Job Profile Private Investigator / Private Detective contracted to the Wilson’s Detectives Group Partnership. ABCIPI Freelance Independent Contractor / Private Investigators carry out secret inquiries for our clients to find out information and to check facts in support of their investigations.

Requirements There are currently no specific qualifications required to become a private investigator. You will be provided with your own personal trainer/mentor. · Honesty · Excellent observational skills · Some knowledge of the law is very important
Work Activities: As a private investigator, your inquiry work could range from investigation of personal issues in cases of blackmail, divorce and sextortion to investigating company issues in cases of fraud.
You will often work alone, but always have the back-up of an experienced ABCIPI trainer/mentor.

Your work will involve background research, asking questions and analyzing information. Your work may also include: · Surveillance · Fraud investigation (for example, insurance or accident claims) · Tracing missing people · Handing legal documents to people (process serving) · Investigating commercial piracy (such as copying software illegally) · Background checks on employees
Working hours and Conditions: There are many things to consider if you want a career in private investigations: · Your hours of work will often be irregular and will include nights and weekends · You will work from your own home · You will spend a lot of time traveling and gathering information · Your income will vary and will depend on many factors, including the type of case and the length of the investigation. OTE Would be in the region of £40,000 - £70, 000 GBP per annum
Entry Requirements: No specific qualifications or experience is required to become a private investigator.
Training and Development: As a Trainee Private Investigator/Freelance Independent Contractor, you will be charged a fee of £1,950.00 to be paid in advance to cover the time of your trainer/mentor for your initial specialist training of up to 30 Hours: · Subject to training and a reasonable pass, you will be offered regular case assignments working in cooperation with experienced agents. · Your chargeable rate would start at £45.00 per hour and if you work a 30-hour week this would earn you £1,350.00 per week.
